He was drip acclimated for about 2.5 hours. He was fine for about an hours then just flipped out. About the fourth time he hit the glass I looked over and he just sank to the bottom and died about an hour later.

My LFS is great. Everybody is very knowledgable and helpful. They take great care of their fish which is why I choose that store. All fish there are held and monitored for parasites and other diseases (and treated if necessary). They only sold if they are eating and have been there and healthy for at least a month. I'm in there at least once a week and they are always great. Aside form my tank at home I help maintain the tanks at work; 200 gallon reef, 300 gallon FOWLR, a 25 gallon reef, and a 60 gallon reef.

Ahh, so you know the drill.

Strange behavior, but they can be very skittish.

when you drip acclimated the fish, was it an online order? 2.5 hours seems like a loooong time to acclimate a fish. The ammonia can get really toxic in the bag if you wait that long. Most people recommend less than and hour.

the snail is a stomatella and is completely harmless. I have seen mine spawn like that too and it's weird :smurf:
