crinoid squat lobsters?

    anyone see the crinoid squat lobsters that show up on liveaquaria every once in awhile, black and yellow, they look cool but are they reef safe? and would it come out during the day to see it? if so they are cool and one may be in the distant future...just always wondered about them

    I have no experience but lobsters in general are secretive and opportunistic feeders, so I would say they are not reef safe.

    Squat lobsters are more closely related to hermits and porcelain crabs than they are regular crabs, then past regular crabs to lobsters.

    I still don't know the answer, but I'm just bringing up the relationship.
