I will have a back up solution for power outages and a chiller won't be needed, though I currently do have one for my main display if needed. I may do an ATS not sure yet, never had one before.

Would you add, and or change anything?

    Apex controlled as well.

Couple of questions. First, how are you connecting the tanks and the drains (can you drill these?)? Second, why are you running UV? I would not for frag tanks, or even a reef tank. Otherwise, I am very interested to see how this comes out!

I don't know how much difference this would make, but the lower tanks will get the leftover water from the upper tanks. Would it be practical to have clean water being added to both upper and lower? Like I said, I'm not sure how dirty the water from the upper tanks would be, or if it's negligible.

I have had some experience with frag tanks, so my first thoughts would be, ditch the uv sterilizer... Its not going to accomplish much for a set up like this. It wouldnt hurt to have one and run it if you had disease related problems, but I would have it be a back up or run briefly from time to time if you choose to go that route. It could actually end up hurting more than helping.

The bigger the refugium you can go the better... I would consider losing on of the frag tanks and switching that into a refugium. The more liverock you can fit for biological filtration the better. Also, go for as big of a sump as you can. If you can fit more liverock in there I would stuff some in. It never hurts to have more rock.

As for the plumbing, it could definitely be done the way you have it outlined. Its pretty vague but how you choose to do it could make or break the system. That last thing you want is to fill it up and realize the plumbing is loud and annoying or cant keep up with flow... Could you elaborate a little more on what your plumbing plans are?

I have the Jager heaters you have listed. They are very nice but you may be better off going with a titanium heater. Well 2 or 3 titanium heaters, especially because you are running an apex to control them.

What is the amount of clearance between the tanks? Working space is something that is frequently overlooked with frag tanks for some reason... lol

Overall, it looks like a solid plan using quality equipment. Enjoy your build and happy fragging! :D
