yeahhh! Glad he is doing better. Yeah I wouldnt stick my finger in there for a few more days....very stressful to molt, and the molt is probably still soft, so he/she is more protective.

I was able to keep a cuc and fish in Bobs tank. She wouldnt kill any of them unless I gave them to her. I would have to grab a snail and drop it right in front of her den before she would eat it. If the snail crawled in front of her den, she was fine and didnt eat it. In fact I had a damsel in that tank, and whenever I was cleaning the tank or whatever, the damsel would go into the den with Bob and came out everytime perfect!

Do you give her snails for her smashers? I tried to do that at least couple times a month to keep her smashers from atrophying,

Yes, Bob was a girl, a very big 12" girl that I thought was a male, until she had a brood of eggs after I had her for a couple years. Sadly, she molted right after the brood and it was too stressful for her

i feed ted 90% live food usually green crabs or snails. sometimess i collect a ton at the beach and stick them in a qt tank for afew months and feed him those too.he is growing very fond of the frozen krill though. i also feed him grass shrimps and formula 1. but he like to play with his food and throw it around the tank.
