not the greatest shot, but maybe it'll let you get an idea of the power of these little lights. I just got them in the mail today, and they are super bright!

I may upgrade later, but these lights aren't too bad for $20 and I've seen zoa's grown under them. That about all I want to put in here anyway...

they are just stock flourescant bulbs, they may appear bright which i know they do, but they will only grow shrooms if that. theyll also encourage algae.

ok you may be able to grow some zoas under there, you had me under the impression it was stock flourescent bulbs. if you plan to grow anything other than some zoas and shrooms i would do at least an aquarium power compact fixture with two bulbs if not a t5 fixture

interesting. hope thats the case. its a nice looking tank and that does make it look sharp. just dont think I would ever put spray paint in my reef tank if it is "reef safe" its too risky for my liking. Any ideas for fish/inverts yet?

Yeah I love the zoa's mostly and if I ever change my 29 from a fowlr to a reef then I'll do more of a real setup. Actually when I graduate (in about a year) and get out of this apartment and into a house I'll to a real upgrade to a 90 or >

This is more like my side project...my diy tank. I'm making my own sump/fuge, overflow, and even built the stand. Figure if i can grow in a small tank bigger tanks will be a snap.
