The stand is from Petco...It is really nice an is pretty solid. I has plenty of room for a sump. The back is solid wood and comes with a nice size cutout for wires and flex tubes. (pvc could work but you'd have to elbow a bit).

It's normally like $175, but I got it on sale and since it was the last one they had and the display, I got another 45 bucks off. I think I paid right at 75-80 bucks for it and it was already put together. Good deal in my book. After building my 40b stand....it was money well spent LOL.

Maybe, I may start a fresh one. I'll try and get a few things done tomorrow.

    To do list:
    Paint the back black
    Clean the tank
Build a mount for the stunners
Heck it may even get wet tomorrow

You think the ~10lbs of rock and a cup of sand from the 10g would be enough to skip a cycle? The rock in the 10g has been up and running for a few months now.

That should be good. You may even add a few gallons of water.

When I moved houses I had one third of the water from my 29 and all rocks in buckets for about 2 months. I set it up again at the beginning of this year (Jan. 4). I bought dry rock and new sand I filled the tank with water. I added the live rock...been running for 7 months. I never saw a cycle. The cuc I added today was the first I've had in about a year. lol.

I love my 20L and its right at the foot of my bed and it lulls me to sleep every night. I love the 30" of length it has so much room for a nice scape. 2 islands, or even the whole back covered, you cant really go wrong. I love your 20L. i want the same lighting on mine! so jealous.

I haven't had a tank in a bedroom for many years...but I agree laying in bed, relaxing and watching the tank is great.

Well looks like I should probably change the title once again. I think this will be my 20L build thread.

So I managed to get a few things done today. Painted the back, washed the substrate and rocks, emptied the 10g, worked on the scape. Everything has moved along nice, easy, and (dare I say) quick. The tank is filled but I but super cloudy at the moment. Guess I didn't clean the sand and rocks all that well after all. Oh well, a few hours and I'm sure it will be all clear.

    Anyway, here are the pics
