Yeah I like a little diy myself. I built my 40B stand and was going to build the stand for my 20L, but just happened upon a deal that was too good to pass up so bought one. I'm going to be building the led strip that Insanepain did. I really like the fact that you can change colors and dim the light all with a remote. Being able to control the tank without getting out of bed is going to be awesome!!!:cheesy:

Do you know what thread that is in. That sounds really cool, especially since my aquarium is in my bedroom.

Sweet lil tank ya got there man. Looks like your really helpin boostLED out lately haha. I like the idea for that pink streaked wrasse.. Looks like a mini mystery wrasse. Maybe a goby and pistol shrimp? Or a trio of firefish or something along with it.

Thanks man, this tank blows the 10g out of the water for sure. Lol yeah I like me some BoostLEDs. I've had all three bulbs for some time now though. I was going to put them on my 40B at first till the awesome deal came around on the Mu 135. Two of the par30's on this tank were on 10g before I took it down. I think I got a really good deal on the par30's too during the Fathers Day sale, like $50 each or close to anyway. I really like the fact I don't have to replace bulbs and with the LED build that Insanespain has posted I will be able to adjust colors even more.

Yeah that wrasse has me excited. I've thought about the goby/shrimp combo a little but not sure i want to deal with the sand being moved around and all. The plan for this tank is major LPS and I'll need some room for acan around the base of my rocks. I may go with the wrasse, a pair of black and white clowns, and another small fish. Stocking list isn't set just yet, but the wrasse is top of the list for sure.

Just so you know coastie, the led build I did is only for moonlighting. Even with the brightness all the way up, you can't even tell the leds are on when the T5s are on. Its not made for supplemental lighting

All my systems are full LED so I don't think it will wash out as much as the T5's. I have a couple stunner strips (453 blue) for supplemental lighting. I think the color change option is just too cool. It's hard to tell but the blue your build provides looks a lot like the UV stunner strip. Considering that an R2 soultions moonlight is just about as much as the parts to build this strip and provides half the light, this is a great option.

Thanks for the heads up though.

Oh I agree its an awesome option for a moonlight, and I hope to see you build one. But just don't expect to get anything out of it with your boosts and stunners on. The par 30s will completely overpower that RGB strip.

Ok, one question though. Does the strip cause corals to fluoresce at all? I'd love to be able to watch the corals glow and then be able to turn the light off without getting out of bed. I'm just lazy like that, LOL.
