    Not much new, but my cuc came in today and I've managed to get the canopy all stained to match the stand.

    I'm thinking I'll get a couple fish this weekend. ;D

    Thanks. I'm loving having a tank in my bedroom. Once I get my RGB kit in I'll be able to have custom mood lighting via remote control LOL.

    The RGB parts came in today but 2 of the 3 parts were defective so I'm returning them. I managed to get it to sort of work (only the red and green) and it was pretty cool.

    Defects: the remote wouldn't turn the unit off, blue buttons controlled green lights green buttons controlled blue lights, and the solder connections on the strip had broken in shipment. I had to hold the connections in place in order to get it to light up... AND yes I had the blue and green wires in the right place so that wasn't what caused the remote to work backwards, before anyone makes that comment LOL.

    Coastie, that sucks, I would have imagined that the company would have tried harder to ship it better so that it wouldn't have broke. How was the customer service? Sorry for the bad experience.

    I ordered everything through amazon. 2 of the parts came from amazon and 1 came from the company itself. Amazon returns were super easy, still working with the company on returning the other part. It seems like customer service will be fine though. Only time will tell as I'm working with them via emails.
