    Standard 29 gallon.

~25 lbs of aragonite course sand
~35 lbs of live rock (~20 from old 20L setup)

    Aquaclear 50 (200 gph), Hydor 550 x 2, Hydor nano 425: 1965 gph / 29g = 67.75 total turnover.

BoostLED Mu 135 version 2 mounted 8" to surface of the water, 13" over top of the rock, 25" to the sandbed.

The plan is to be a heavy SPS tank. I may also put a couple duncans in the tank as they are often times considered water quality barometers. NO soft corals.

Livestock: B&W clown pair and one other fish yet to be determined.

After the tank has been established for a month or so I will be adding a BRS reactor for GFO. It's actually on my Christmas list ;). I will continue to use the AC 50 for carbon and purigen. I want to give the tank time to burn off silicates from the new sandbed naturally. I will not be using a sump, but may eventually get a HOB refugium. I will not be using a skimmer. I will be performing 5 gallon water changes every two weeks.

I love my 40B, but it is pretty much on cruise control. It is a nice mixed reef and my girlfriend loves the mushrooms, frogspawn, and trumpets. She's not as fond of the SPS corals...she like "they don't move, I like the ones that move." However I'm looking for more of a challenge and look forward to my "stick garden"!

Thank you so much for the kind words. :)

Every new tank that looks like that is my inspiration. It looks really good, a ton of potential.

Sorry Seano, no clue where to get my hands on a par meter. It's probably a safe bet that I can keep SPS anywhere the tank though. LOL!!
