Well I managed to fit a 10 gallon inside the stand so I'm actually putting a sump under the tank. Ordered the Eshopps nano overflow and a Sicce Syncra 2.0 for a return pump. Tank is doing fine, all the diatoms are gone. I had some brownish hair algae starting to grow on the back glass, but the cuc has eaten just about all of it. Water parameters have been stable and constant for a few weeks now. Sooooooooo I think I'll be heading to the LFS in the morning for a couple hardy frags!!

I did notice something a little disappointing however. I seem to have a few of those tiny brown flatworms from my old tank{{the size of a period or comma ( . , ) literally}}. I guess removing all the rock and nuking them in a full bottle of flatworm exit for a week wasn't enough to kill them all. I guess they are the cockroaches of the sea. Oh well they have never been a problem I just hate seeing them on the substrate and glass every now and then.

Plan to get a few tomorrow. I hope I can find a purple monti cap. I want to keep the green to a minimum.

Looking good! What do you think of the MU135? I own one as well. Also why are you trying to keep the green corals to a minimum? I have found that green corals look the best under mine and many other colors start to fade.

Thanks. I love the Mu. I have one on my 40 breeder as well. I admit the greens do look great, but there are soooo many green corals and want to have a nice variety. I have noticed that some corals fade at first then seem to come back. I have a setosa that looks amazing under the Mu and if anything has gotten more intense since being under the Mu. My tiny red plant looks awesome too.

I wonder if supplementing with a magenta/red strip would bring out some of those other colors?

A magenta/red strip would be sweet. I was contemplating doing the same thing!

I haven't managed to make it to the LFS, and at this point I'm not sure if I will. I used the rock out of my 20L along with new rock and sand for this tank. I thought I had nuked the flatworms in 20L system as I hadn't seen any for a month or so, but apparently that was not the case. I have gone through 2 bottles of flatworm exit and it just will not kill these things. At this point I am really at a loss. I kill a few, but they always come back strong within two to three days. I hate these things so much!

I don't want to give up on the project, but I don't want to start it out this way! UGH!! I'm considering cycling a new batch of rock in a separate container, buying more sand, and starting from scratch. This is just so disheartening and discouraging. My 40B is awesome and other than a little bubble algae and aiptasia (both gone) has never given me issues to worry about. This tank however has been a nightmare when it comes to these flatworms.

They look a lot like this, just slightly different. Something like a 95% match though.
