Well things are starting to come together for my 40 breeder. All in all I'm pretty pleased with the stand considering my workshop consisted of my back porch (as seen in the pictures) and living room. The tools used were a simple circular saw, plastic miter box and hand saw, and a drill.;D

The first pic is when the frame was 45" tall, but in the end it was cut down to 36". The third pic shows the fake doors that snap on and off using a magnet setup that I stole off another forum.

I didn't keep exact dollar figures but the lumber, paint, and other materials cost me in the range of $150 maybe a little more but less than $200 without a doubt. Probably cheaper than anything I could buy. The bonus: I made it myself, with my own hands, my own sweat, and my own random choice expletives from time to time.

I will have my BoostLED Mu 135w this week along with my additional rock from reef cleaners so I should have more pics up later this week if not next.

Tell me what you all think so far.

    Charlie

I would love to see how you build your canopy. I am kind of lost on how to successfully build one. I have an idea of what I want, just not sure how to get there, lol.

That's the 29g FOWLR that will be transferred into the 40B. As of now it has one killer cuc(even though there's patch of algae on the back glass they won't touch!!!), a pair of clowns and a royal gramma.
