I love the new fish man. I'm interested to see how the chromis does solo. I wish I could get a little group of them, but I'm just about at max capacity right now haha. So whats the fish list at now..? Any plans for future adds?

Right now I just have the two yellow tail damsels that I started out with back in June I think. I really like the firefish myself and of course my kids like "nemo" lol. I'm going to try and take my wife to an awesome LFS store to get an idea of what she is looking for tomorrow, but that may not happen. I just want to make sure that I don't end up buying a fish that I will regret later.

Thanks. So far so good on the chromis, some have good luck with a solo and some don't. Mine eats great, swims great, and has kind of taken to hanging with the clowns for small bits of time. They are all true damsels so that may help, but not too sure just yet.

So that puts the stocking list at the 2 clowns, chromis, and firefish. I do plan on getting one last fish just not too sure what to get. A six line...maybe, but I hear they are little punks sometimes. I have a pretty shallow sandbed so I don't think I could keep any other type of wrasse. Also been thinking of getting a YWG. It'll be a little bit before I get a new fish so I have time to research and decide.

    Well........

It's been a long time. Hello again all. Tank is doing fantastic, I've just been super busy with school and a new accounting internship with an amazing firm.

I'll go ahead and apologize for the crappy pics, but they were taken with phone.

Thanks. As much as I love my LED's, it sure makes taking good pictures a chore.

That and the fact that I really need to clean that front glass, lol.

That growth on the 1st sps you showed is awesome! Did the color change as well? It looks like the body lightened up a bit between the pics...or is that just a camera affect? btw what do you call that part? You have the polyps and then what do you call the body?

Anyways, the tank is a beauty.

That is a ORA green birdnest. The color change is mostly from the camera, but the polyps are way more extended and polyp tips have more color than the rest of the polyp. As far as the "body" I'm not sure exactly what you're referring to.

Edit: After looking at the pics again I see what you are talking about. The "body" is the skeleton of the coral. It's darker in the first pic because the polyps are retracted and casting a shadow. It's always been white, but now that the polyps are fully extended (about 1/4 inch) you see less shadow and more of the white skeleton.

Cool thanks, I wasn't really sure how to explain it, glad you understood :)

It certainly is beautiful, congrats on the great growth.
