I was cleaning my Koralia power heads this morning and had an idea! I hate taking those things off - when I pull the power head from the magnet to remove it from the tank for cleaning, I end up with all kinds of sediment and crap going everwhere (yes, everything is powered off - I'm not totally dense). So, I had one that was particularly bad. I was trying to pull on it and as usual, stuff was shaking off and floating away. I got a Ziploc sandwich bag and put it around the power head and held it closed while pulling on the magnet with my other hand. You wouldn't believe the crud that fell in that baggie! I was able to pull the power head out of the tank in the baggie without crud floating all over the tank! Simple, but effective!....The sandwich sized baggies worked great for the Koralia 1's. Anyway, it made me happy. :cheesy:

On my QT my Koralia is covered in algae and junk that is sticking to it from the suction and I know the second I turn off the powerhead some of that is going to go floating away but I really want to get it out of the tank.

I've been thinking of doing something similar to that but maybe I'll finally take the plunge and just get it over with. :)
