    What are you confused about?
You hook it to a cold water supply via the hose thread adapter it comes with then flush the filters to waste for about 2 gallons.
Once it is flushed you use a measuring cup and watch or clock and time the flow from the blue or treated RO/DI water line then from the yellow or waste line and calculate the waste ratio. If its close to 4:1 waste to good you are set, if its not you need to trim the flow restrictor which is inside the yellow waste line to the total length they specify (in the FR-90 line on the chart) based on your test results. Its really easy.
