I'm kinda in the same situation also. I've done everything imaginable trying to get my tank to grow anything besides fish. It's been 3 months since I started and no coralline on the rocks or glass. I was told to test for copper yesterday and it can up as 0.3 with a test strip. How accurate is the strip? I was thinking about taking it to another place which uses a meter. Does anyone have an opinion on the most accurate test for copper? I'm thinking about using the cuprisorb or just redoing the whole 150lbs of live rock I have. And the 100lb of live sand. Any thoughts would be great. BTW, I have managed to keep alive a fire shrimp and red reef lobster. All other inverts are gone and existing nassarius snails starting to die.

    Hi Vushnik
    Seachem. CupriSorb
Cuprisorb as mentioned by Inwall75 on this thread is very effective at removing copper from aquariums

get you water tested with a liquid test kit, or take a sample to your LFS that can test it for you

but if you do have copper, the above product can remove it

Thanks steve. I just wondered if his is just an isolated case or has this worked for others. Just hate to spend a lot of time on this and end up having to redo the tank anyways. Either way, it does give me hope.
