Anyone have any experience with these fish? Saw some smaller ones today in the store and they look beautiful! The guy said that they eat snails and inverts. I have a shrimp so I'm afraid to get one so I'm holding off.

According to "The Conscientious Marine Aquarist" hogfish are a type of wrasse. It goes on to say that the fairy and flasher wrasses are ideal while the six-lined wrasse feeds on tiny preditory snails. Other wrasses will eat most all of your invertibrates.

    I'd skip the hogfish.

Not to mention that they will out-grow your tank before you can blink 5 times and drink a coke. I also dont recommend these fish. Luna
