So my tank has finally cycled and its time to add in a CuC. I have looked on various websites (live aquaria and others) and it seems like their packages have SO many things in them. Are these necessary?

What do you guys suggest I get? Right now I only have 10 turbo snails.

just for visual variety - add in some fuzzy chitons and limpets - they are really neat and not that many people have them . . .

As a reference I have around 200 snails consisting of about 6 species in my 55.

    Also, highly recommend reefcleaners.org.

I must have problems in my tank then. I only have about 40 snails total and pretty much all of my ceriths are dying. My astrea snails and my nassarius seem fine, but those are the only ones. Any idea?

Do you mean dwarf or FL ceriths?

If it's FL, I'd suspect a hermit or some crab or some type of attack shrimp.

If it's dwarfs, then I would say they're probably not dying and you are just seeing them lay around without moving much during the day...

It also may be your tank has no inhabitants that poop enough to feed your snails so to speak... I know nothing about your tank other than it is 120G and just finished cycling... Maybe the ammonia from the cycle killed them off...

    :) yip

I got rid of my hermits because I couldn't keep FL Ceriths.

My other snails were fine. Something bout those cerith shells them crabs loven.
