I have a standard 30 gallon with quite a bit if live rock in it. 55+lbs. Anyhow I'm getting this rapid (what I believe is) diatom bloom. So far I have 3 peppermint shrimp, 3 Mexican turbos, and 10 small blue legged hermits. I assume I need a bigger CUC as my tank matures. Can anyone suggest how much more and why types I may need? I plan on having a friendly FOWLR tank... Thanks! Also, nitrites and ammonia are steady at 0. Can I add fish now, along with the rest of the CUC??

Diatoms always happen with new tanks - it will go away after a little bit.

Oh and for inverts that are part of the clean up crew, make sure you have your nitrates in check.

Great, I think I'll get my first fish or two this weekend... I'd like to start with an ocellaris clownfish. Any suggestions on a good ACTIVE fish that I could add with the clown or the week after adding the clown?
