    By the title you may be wondering why this thread is in the bucket, but it does indeed belong here.

    I mentioned to me mum (yes a little nod to the Olympic games being in Great Brittan) that I had been pulling GHA out of my tank yet again and she said that I should rinse it and feed it to my ducks. Yesterday I finally tried it, making sure no bristle worms were included, and they gobbled it up like candy.

    So I now have a use for some of the nasty stuff I pull out of my tank.

    Everything in life has a purpose and mum always knows best! A lot of my family lives across the pond in Manchester and central London so very cool

    Yup so now I can say that the GHA isn't a problem, it's a treat for my ducks...hehehe.
    Yeah I'll just keep telling myself that.
    But since I've finally got a good skimmer and am finishing getting the sump connected, I may no longer have that problem.

    When I had an ATS running I saved the algae for my wife. She put it in a gallon jug for fertilizing her plants. Worked extremely well.
