Ok, Who-Ever has bought live rock from their LFS, Specifically The Living Aquarium On Bishop ST. ON, or BigAls, what do they give it to you in? Also I was wondering if bringing a cooler full of pre-mixed salt-water to put the live rock in, would prevent die-off? Does it sound like a good idea? TIA.

My lfs have all told me that it is fine to bring it home just wrapped in some wet newspaper to keep damp.

you dont need to bring saltwater the live rock will survive the trip home with out water they probably will put it in a plastic bag but you might want to bring the bucket to carry the rock in

my lfs gave me a styrofoam cooler for my lr. I bought precured lr, as I assume you are doing. I would recommend not doing this. One of the the things that I would do differently from the start would be to buy base rock. I have several types of annoying, problematic algae and cynobacteria. You can control these things, but i would like to know and control exactly what goes into my tank. Just my opinion
