I hear its hard to keep green lipped mussles in captivity, not so sure about barnacles. My main question is, if I wanted them do you guys have any idea where I could find them? One of my friends got some on some live rock, thats the best I can think of.

Look for a piece of live rock covered in barnacles at the LFS

I kept barnacles for about a month, they will always die, there is no way to feed them enough particulate matter in a home aquarium, nothing bad happened when they died in my tank but still, better not to buy them just to have them die, dont know anything about mussels

I have something in my LR that resembles a small shellfish. I can't get it out though. I've had it about 1.5 years though.

I have a bunch of barnacles on one of my rocks from TBS. I would email Richard and ask him if there is any way to get a bunch of barnacles. They are kind of boring though, don't really do much, besides get eaten by my mantis shrimp.

Hey I was wondering where did you get the barnacles from? I need them for a study that I am doing.
