Yes im sure. Sunlight supply Tek lights do not come with any type of tank mount or splash guard. You have to purcahse those seperate. Reefgeek sells the set up with bulbs but its $415.95 but im still looking at an additional $57 for the tank brackets and $33 for the splash guard.

The nova extreme pro is a very popular fixture for beginner reefers or for tanks that don't have high light demanding corals. Mainly because of it's low price relative to it's competition. It may look like a great deal but depending on the corals you wont to keep, you might need to upgrade to a higher quality fixture. TEK would be the second best "quality" but its a big price jump. I was researching lights for about 4 months when I decided that Skimming and lighting are NOT things you want to skimp on, because I hate buying something and then being disappointed. I ended up going with the ATI sunpower. ATI makes TOP of the line T5 light fixtures. It was more than I wanted to spend on lights, but Im glad I waited and saved up the money.

With that being said, I've seen some really great soft coral tanks with Nova's. Depending on how much "power" you need, the Nova might be perfect for you. I would recommend replacing the bulbs with Geissman bulbs as soon as you can though.

Well right now I have softies, LPS, and 1 SPS.
My current fixture is one from fishneedit. its a 4 bulb fixture, I have been running the stock bulbs since I got it. Just recently when I changed one of the bulbs, the ballast blew, so this is why I am getting a new fixture.
I feel that a 6 bulb fixture of any brand will support my coral needs if my current 4 bulb china man made one will (actually its been only 2 bulbs for the last week and everything look fine)

Just my 2 cents.. I would def recommend that light. Especially if you wind up getting Geisemann bulbs in there. Ive have a few fixtures of Currents and I have to say their customer service was outstanding. Replaced units i pretty much messed up. The only thing im concerned with is how long the ballasts keep your premium bulbs going. Reflector could be a bit better on the standard one but again you could actually very easily mod with a better one.

I have the 6 bulb Nove Extreme Pro on my 72 gal tank. It's a great fixture. This produces all the light you will ever need to grow anything you want. I have SPS growing near the bottom of my tank. I also have a clam on my sand bed that is growing and doing well.

I currently have the Nova Extreme Pro 48 in T5 model with 6 bulbs and I do like it. It is on my 120 G 60 in long tank (because I could not find any reasonably priced 60 in fixtures).

For corals I have a lot of softies, even more SPS, and a few LPS...all of which are showing amazing growth and polyp extension! I also just added a very bleached GBTA to the tank and will see how that goes.

I was thinking about getting a Tek fixture, and if I had the money I would have. They do produce more PAR and have individual bulb reflectors, but the only drawback that I could find was that they do not have built in fans as does the Nova Extreme Pro, which helps to cool the bulbs. This may only be a minor problem, but that combined with the price difference swayed me towards the Pro.

I do agree on replacing the stock bulbs, as they are adequate, but no where near what a Geisseman is. I am just having trouble finding a bulb scheme that I like.

    Hope this helped.

I have 2 of the pro ights the ballasted blew in both of them one week apart from eachother and cost 45 buck shipped for the ballasts. Then the other ballests blew in them a week later. and bam 45 each again. Its not that we dont expect this but the lights were 6 mo old and they did nothig about it. I agree with many here they are a ok beginner light and you will upgrade later. I did to mh and will never go back to these lights. As a matter of fact I have replace all bulbs and ballasts and am selling them.
