Hey guys, Im putting together equiptment for my 90 gallon system. Right now i have a 48" current usa outer orbit with 2x150w mh and 2x130w pc bulbs, 6 moonlights. I have a chance to get a 48" coralife 2x250w mh and 4x65w pc bulbs W/moonlights for a great deal. Am i limited with the current fixture? Which is better? I would like to be able to keep any kind of corals. Any oppinions appreciated, i have to say yes or no on the coralife today.

    Thanks, nick

I am a current guy myself out of the two. I haven't really fallen in love with any coralife product I've used, they are decent, but never outstanding IMO. Either would be a good option for you though they are fairly comparable.

Anytime you have a chance to change your pc's to T5 go for it. Even better you would be upgrading your mh's also. The fixture is only half the battle it's the bulb quality that will make the difference. JM2C ;)

Thanks, i decided to hold off on the coralife unit. I do like my current usa fixtures as well. My current t5 fixture on my 80 has never failed me, i have had a coralife pc fixture that melted wires and had faulty fans though... Thanks for the thoughts!

Good choice. Coralife products aren't known for quality. If you want to upgrade from what you have now best to save up and do it right.

IME current makes a pretty good fixture but you should look into ATI bulbs or something other than the factory bulbs.
