Well we are going to be getting a kitten soon so I decided to whip out the powertools and build my own thinking it would be cheaper. Well $140 later and a new appreciation for carpeting I completed my project. Didn't save much but I like to think its much sturdier than a store bought made in china one.

Here is my new work of art with a series of 3 progress shots from start of carpeting through completion. Not beautiful and seemless like a store bought and you can see where there are staples but Im thinking in time the carpet will fill in the stapled areas

Plan on getting the kitten sometime in August. This summer is so busy and my wife and I are constantly away one weekends or longer, been enough of a headache with worrying about the reef temps no need to worry about the kitten too.

Looks good. I've made a couple too. My parents' cat is a 20 pound male ragdoll and the ones in stores just aren't big enough for him.
