Custom Canopy/Lighting?

Does anyone know a company that sells alternate canopy's or custom canopy's so I can put my lighting inside without a problem? If you take a look at my tank, and based on my reading so far, I really want to go with MH lights. I think my canopy is too low, and the canopy also has these tempered smoke glass tops for decor, which is really nice, but maybe something a little higher would be better? I dont want to go with an open top because its in my dining room and it just wouldnt look right in there like that.

I would want it to match in color to mine. UNLESS someone can think of an idea for the best lighting to fit into my current canopy or the best way to do this?? :-/

 

I had mine custom built from the LFS (with the demensions i wanted), where i bought the setup.try going down to your LFS, almost everyone ive been to has tanks and stands for sale.just tell them what you want. they'll prolly be able to order you one from their builder

Right but did you put it underneath a wood canopy?

 

No. But you can get retrofits there too that will.

 

I called the guy "Jim" from Catalina.. he was nice - I sent him pictures of the tank to look at and give me some ideas.

Okay I think I have the plan of action for my canopy. I am thinking of taking out the 2 glass tops on the CANOPY (Not the tank) and adding to fans to the back. Then I can put in just about anything I want, it basically will be open air except for wood around the sides.... My question is, for Matt I guess, it of I order a light from Catalina (who said they could put the fans on top) and I order it with some MH lights, how far away from the water do I need to be?

 

Italian Hi. The CA light is the one I just bought. They are very helpful. I just found this site while looking for some supplies. Take a look at the canopy in the first picture. Fans llook ok.
