Hi, im in the process of ordering a rimless 5'by3'by2' Age tank. I need a nice modern cabinet to go with the tank. I like the elos stand, and the style of modern kitchen cabinets such as bulthaup. Does anyone know of any companys that will build a top notch modern stand?

Most companies will only have their set to offer. If you really want something custom, you'd be best off checking with some local area carpenters. Be prepared to PAY PAY PAY.

Check with local custom cabinet shops. I worked for several in this area and a tank stand would be no problem at all.

That is one of the best ideas I have seen in a long time.
    Is that your tank?

    Wow, thats pretty cool!

I had an idea of doing something similar to that, Make huge tank float! I wanted it to be almost scary to look at because you think its gonna fall.

Check first with the tank manufacturer as there are loopholes in warranties in regard to stands that are not made properly to specs. Your talking a serious tank there and this rimless tank may call for some certain specifics. That's an odd size footprint but anything can be made to order. This is the company that made mine. Very true. Also look deeply into the flooring that will be supporting it. If you make something that looks like it should be tipping over it will most likely also be transfer weight into the floor in less than normal ways.

Here's a random idea that would blow some minds. A single pedestal in the center of the tank supporting the shelf the tank sits on. run a center overflow and all wires through the pedestal to a basement sump. Would definitely have to be steel and would still be iffy on keeping the shelf flat over time.
