Where abouts at home depot did you find the suction cups? I'd love to have a better suction cup for my Nori clip.

I'm guessing you could find them in the wall hanger department where they sell different types of hooks and attachments for hanging things.

One of my LFS has some clear suction cup for sale, there sold in packages of 2. I bought some and they work very well. Allot better then the stock suction cups on powerheads.

Suction cups that have crapped out can be rejuvinated by messaging cooking oil into them and wipping off the excess. Don't remember where I got that tip but it works in FW for sure, never tried it in salt. (Suction cups suck)

I made a hang on bracket for the mag-7 my scwd is on. Using cheap plexiglass and a heat gun, I formed the top hook over a block of wood and made a lip at the bottom to make it hang flush out away from the back of the tank. I used the mounting plate that came on the pump for a template to drill holes for nylon bolts and thumb screws. (sorry, no pics atm)

The (thin) plexiglass is easy to manipulate with a heat gun and you can use the same cutters and drill bits you use for glass.

    Cheers

I have gotten the suction cups from Home Depot and have been doing alright with them...they are in near all of the wall-hangers and stuff...just ask someone there, they probably know.

Also, I remember someone suggesting using one of the small cleaner magnets and glueing is to the pump, that way you can move the pump around the tank pretty freely and it wont fall.

I thought that was a pretty good idea but I have yet to try it since my suction cups from Home Depot are still doing the trick.

I've got a high tech answer. Get the powerhead where you want it and just Duck tape the cord to the back of your tank. Works great though I wouldn't try it with heavy powerheads.

Thanks guys, I'll make a stop by home depot today or tomorrow.

I think the idea with the magnet is a good idea. I use the tunze pumps with the magnet that they have and I like it.
