So I was the mom handing out the candy last night. It was funny, but the big attraction wasn't the candy but my tanks! I had 3 little kids in separate instances walk straight past me into my house (much to the horror of their parents) and straight for my tank! The best one was this incredibly cute little "zombie" (I don't think it was Matt Rogers). He headed straight my main tank and in his best zombie voice said "Neeeeeemo!" ;D

awwww that is to cute lol did the parent freak out when the kid walked in your house.

Trick or Treaters at my house sucked this year, we had a whole 10 people come all night. We had a ton of candy because we surprisingly ran out last year, but now we have a ton of candy left

That's too cool. It's amazing to think that we take our tanks for granted like that and how we get to see a part of the ocean everyday while there are kids out there that have never seen it save for pictures in a book.

It's not just kids,I've had adults see the tank and go straight for it. One guy was re-charging the air conditioner and seen it and was like a little kid,"whats that, what do you feed that...wow thats cool, how much did that cost....".Tanks are definately an attention getter.

lol that's why i had all 4 of my lights on last night, because my tank is on the second floor and you can see the brightness from a few houses down so to draw in the kids with the crazy brightness of the tank. But it didn't work. lol i wonder what people think when they see this massive bright light

Thats funny because when we moved into our new place the neighbors girls wanted to play with our daughter they are all about the same age. The first time they came into our house they went straight for the tank and were so into looking at it. What I found neatest was listening to my daughter tell them what everything is.

Yeah, I know how you feel (not the whole daughter thing). When I first started my tank, my girlfriend thought it was rediculous and a money pit. Now, whenever people come over, she tells them what everything is, looks at pics on 3reef telling me I should get that thing(even gets the names right too!), and just loves staring in at all day.

The cable guy came to repair my cable and was amazed by the tank. He spent 30 minutes on the cable and 10 minutes looking at the tank. haha

It's always rewarding to see people take an interest. It costs a lot of money but it's a privilege to have a piece of the ocean in your living room... it's worth every penny. We get to see things most people never have the opportunity to see.

Hopefully you didn't have to pay him for his time looking at your tank.

Nope, no payment for service calls, unless I did something stupid like unplug it and call them out.
