    Hi Stepho - I recently broke 1 large rock into 4 assorted size smaller pieces by placing in a thick gauge polythene bag and dropping it on concrete outside my home ( you cant control the size of the pieces you get this way but its very quick)

    Good idea. I think I am going to use the chisel though because I want to have a little more control over the size and shape of the pieces. I want to kind of do a stone hinge looking thing with them. ;D
