By skill saw, you mean circular saw like this ? Shop Skil 7 1/4" Circular Saw at Lowes.com

What is the advantage of circular saw vs angle grinder ?

the angle grinder is only 3.5 in and not a straight cut its a rough cut.

I would buy DeWalt or Bosch these are two great brands and the only power tools i would ever buy... I work around tile guys all day long and you can use a grinder for pretty much anything if your skilled enough...
And im sure the grinder will give you many years of use in other projects around the house..

Damn now I want to buy both power tools just to have. I am kind of leaning on a circular saw though. Ok 2 more questions, should I buy just a circular saw or the onces with a table that you pull down and slide what ever you are trying to cut ?
Also would a circular saw cut thin metal electrical pipe with proper blade ?

    Thank you all for replies.

Thanks a lot man, you are the best and so is this forum! Going to go get a skill saw tomorrow probably and 2 blades, one for paver and one for metal. I do a lot of electrical pipe cutting for adult swings I sell on ebay and I use a regular hand pipe cutter and its a pain, so this would really help me too.

Thanks again. I will post pictures in few weeks onces Im done with the whole back yard.

To cut EMT "electrical pipe" just use a sawzall or hacksaw and a reamer... I do this all day ... 24 tpi or 18 tpi will work fine

Hacksaw leaves rough edges, when I use a pipe cutter it leaves a smooth finish that is Ok to touch with out any fileing. Only problem it takes a min or 2 to do and hands get tired after I do 4-5 of them.
