its good to have connections to people like that especially when first starting a feat as difficult as this, sure cuttles are not too delicate compared to some of the other stuff we keep like some clams and sps, but they are far from easy to care for and stress very easy. and you will find it you dont breed them you will end up with an empty tank in 10-12 months because thats about their life span.

are you getting full grown cuttles? if so the 100 will be a must, because a 10 gallon is much too small but really they would be fine in anything over 40 gallons. if they are eggs or just very small cuttles a 10 gallon would work great to keep an eye on them until they are large enough to not get lost in the 100.

are you getting the eggs or have they hatched already. TONMO.com is a must for preperation. EXCELLENT site.

I had got 6 eggs and had all of them hatch. I used a little fish net nursery to keep the babies in as they are SO small the current would take them away. I fed mine rotifers and cyclopeeze for a while. I also kept chaeto in the net with the babies so that they also had a constant source of live food available to them. They require frequent feedings throughout the day. They were doing very well and even moved to frozen mysis but then not sure what happened but they all died. I honestly have never tried again, so i am probably not the best source.

I do know that cuttles are like octopus and have zero tolerance to water/salinity changes. While I would never recommend putting the babies in a 100g tank, I do think it would be a great idea to get the nursery net and place them in your tank. That way you can ensure the stability in the salinity. The smallist salinity change can cause you to loose your entire stock (majority of ceph of body is water)

Seriously get on Tonmo.com. There are a lot of great links for care and raising them on that site. Good luck and PLEASE post pictures!
