So, I installed a fuge a few weeks ago with a DSB and some micro. Things are looking good in the display but the fuge is packed with Cyano. I have not yet put any CUC in the fuge. What do you suggest to clean it up?

Well given the fact you just added a bunch of new bacteria to the system, it it now out of balance. Cyano is a bacteria, and you need something to out compete it. I would suggest getting some microbacter 7 or some microbe lift special blend and start dosing accordingly. a little vacuuming never hurt too.

The most effective fuge resembles a swamp in both looks and smell.

My lil 3.3g fuge looks like planet mars-it's soooo freaking red with cyno!! Could be due to me having a 13" 24w cf on there too though-lol.
However my tank is 100% algae/cyno free so yeah, better the fuge then our DT :) and my pods seem to love it as there are so many of em.

A bit of manual removal as one member suggested wouldn't be bad. As long as its not in the DT though you're golden.

More chaeto! I find chaeto will out compete almost anything with the right light.
