cyano HELP

    i started getting cyano
    is there any way i can get rid of this before it gets out of hand?

    i used chemiclean red slime remover to get rid of mine, but if you do decide to go with that make sure to aerate your water really well.

    eeeeeeekkkk.

    chemi clean is only and aid to remove it.

    You need to combat the problem by pinpointing whats starting cyano.
    main factors,

    are you overfeeding?
    enough flow?
    performing water changes?
    good filtration?

    i feed maybe once every 3 days
    i only have a koralia 2
    i did a water change about 2 days ago
    i have a ASM Skimmer that goes up to 80 gallons
    im going to say its the flow and maybe the water quality.
    im getting a phosphate reactor and some carbon soon

    Reduce nutrients (nitrates, phosphates, and silicates), increase flow, reduce any natural sunlight that may be getting at the tank.
