Thats what my plan is, i wanna take it slow and do it right if im going to invest a bunch of money in livestock, the dude at the fish store was the one trying to rush me and get a fish in there so it doesnt cycle twice is his exact words he kept saying he was a scuba dive instructor so he was a pro and knows how to handle saltwater, he had very nice stuff but very over priced, a chromis for 15.99 and he had a birdsnest coral a little smaller then a baseball and his price tag was 300.00...... And once i said its a little over the top he flipped and told me if i want nice stuff it comes with a price, which i understand but a brown birdsnest.... Thats pretty much what ive got to deal with, his frags are reasonable tho they average around $70

I will look up the name of the store in Chicago that I really liked to go to. As far as corals though, I would look on craigslist and find some local. I have a guy by me that will sell to me $5 a frag. I would in my area that $70 a frag is overpriced. The overpriced store by me is selling 2 for $40. At least that is what I saw yesterday.

Holy CRAP! $70 is WAAAAYYYYY too much for a frag. And I agree with the folks that say cycle your tank with Clean up Crew Members, live rock and some MB7. Fish, even if they are cheap are still sad to watch die due to some spike of ammonia or whatever. Good Luck! I am sure you will do great cause you are on here learning and wanting to do the "right" things.
