Is my cycle rounding its end? My ammonia went to zero, my nitrite was high but is lowering and is currently at 3 ppm and my nitrate is rising slowly but i think stopped rising and is at 20 ppm. Is this what the end of a cycle should look like? im 2 months 3 days into the cycle. I dont have any lr, just base rock and half live sand half crushed coral. I added mysis and fish food at day one to kickstart the cycle. Looking good? Do i have to stimulate a bioload by daily adding a little bit of mysis or something each day? Once my nitrite goes to 0, and i think my nitrates are acceptable, about a week later, im going to get my first fish. Sound good?

Easy now!!! Don't blow a blood vessel in your head. Still take it slow!!! Probably a good time for a small water change and start adding some CUC.

;D;D im just kidding with ya, and take it slow i will. My next step is water change with reef crystals (has everything like calcium, mag, ext), test water for EVERYTHING, get all levels like calcium for example in check and then make it a routine to dose and work on keeping those levels as stable as possible so my sps has a nice home. Im probably not going to get sps till the 6 month mark or so but i guess for my lps and softies in the meantime. Practice cant hurt!
