    Thank you all for the great info and help!!!

    I think what the plan will be is 2 or 3 shrimp, microbacter7 until the bottle is empty (maybe three weeks). Then after four weeks my wife picks out a beautiful maroon with yellow stripes and adds it. ;)

    I think that will do the trick!!!

    I think your dead on, not sure about emptying the bottle of micrbacter though, but prob won't hurt, By week 4 you should be plenty ready for a fish, just do a decent WC and let the wife pick out the fish so its "hers" and she'll want to keep the tank up and it happy!;)

    While this plan sounds good, I think what most of us have been trying to get across is this. Whatever plan you decide to go with, it is important that you test your water parameters. Most would agree that it is not the best idea to add anything until your water parameters test good. The "old addage" on here is to go slow and let it grow. Unless you are lucky, rushing the first stages of your tank just creates more problems down the line.
