Cyleing my tank with raw shrimp help?

    last night i asked how to cycle my tank the first guy who posted said a raw shrimp will do it but to put it in a net and tie it off so debree doesnt get out so i put 1 it my tank to start cycleing and i want to now if i have to do water changes on it and how often and how much its a 20 gallon high with a 55 gallon fluval filter and a 20 gallon HOB filter

    It is a dry heat, yeah right !
    No water changes. You can top off with RO/DI if you see a lot evaporation.

    Place the shrimp in something to contain it if you can like a knee high stocking.

    You want the ammonia and nitrite to spike, then drop on their own. That's what feeds your bacteria to build the bio-filter.

    +1. Just let it all happen naturally and don't use products like Prime while cycling. Kind of defeats the purpose lol.
