I noticed today that there is some stringy cyno in my fuge. What should i do?
I know that your supposed to increase flow and cut out nutrients to get rid of it in the main tank. Do you do the same for the fuge? I thought the water was supposed to flow slowly through a fuge?
Also do you guys mag float or scrape the sump/fuge walls

If its in the fuge it's right where you want it, leave it be.
Now that it has a foothold in the fuge it will suck up the nutrients it need to survive, therefore leaving less nutrients for use by anything trying to grow in the main DT :jester:

+2 Leave it. It's where it needs to be which is not in your DT. I agree that it is using up nutrients and that your fuge is doing it's job.

RAdical! I did test yesterday too and after having the fuge running for about a week and a half, my nitrates are already lower than they were before it :)

add the bio pellets and you'll have zero nitrates in no time!
side by side dsb and bio media will deminish your nitrates...

Can u just put the bio pellets in a sack and put them in your return section or do you need to have a reactor?
