Say hi to John Henry everybody! Had him about a week and a half now. He's not the most beautiful specimen but i felt bad that the lfs just had him out in the open all day. So far he is pretty shy and seems completely uninterested in the hermits I got for him.

Hi John Henry. He may not be interested in hermits. The one I had was a snail eater, although I know there are some "spearer" types that eat fish. Yours is definitely not the same species I kept, but I don't know enough about them to tell you what yours will eat. Cool animal in any case.

    Cheers,

    Don

Yeah based on the white meral spot, his size, and my location I'm pegging him as a wennerae. I thought about trying to put some snails in there but i think I'll go the more humane way and stuff an empty shell with some frozen food. Put the crabs in to see if he would become more active/ maintain the tank, but idk. Thnx!

Those shells are a little too thick for him to get through right now

    Remember Newtonian Physics.......F=MA

Force equals Mass times Acceleration. He might have the acceleration thing down pat but he's not big enough yet to put mass into the equation

Make sure you feed it some meaty foods.
