Well if you don't know already, my name is David, I use to be here on 3reef a while back (known as dpruitt7450) I have a 180 gallon that I'm setting back up. We move into our new house this weekend and I've been setting everything up getting it ready before the move! 2 weeks ago I brought all my live stock over to my buddies house in his qt tank till mine is ready for them. Today we started building my new stand so I can relocate all the filtration under the tank instead of off to the side. The stand went from 26" tall to 38" :) here's some pics of the build. Tomorrow we finish the stand and I can begin staining it!
    Stay tuned in for more!!!

Most of the first pictures looked like a bad design for the stand.

Then some others actually looked like you did put 2x4's directly between the top and bottom frame, right?
Otherwise, all the weight is being held my whatever fasteners you're using, instead of loading the 2x4 end to end.
On some on the shots, I could see the center brade had a 2x4 between the top and bottom frames. What about the ends?

    It does look good though.
I'll be starting my 180's stand soon.
