I got this Devils Hand off a fellow reefer
    It was about 0.75cm.
I then glued it to a slightly larger piece of rock.
NOw it's Very large- at least 6 inches across. Fast grower- about 9 months.
And you can certainly see why the call it a 'Hand'
Those vertical finger looking structures are NOT rock- it's the way the coral grows! - LIke figers from a hand!

I'd love to see yours also! Post'em please

Early morning, lights off, taken with the flash on my Iphone
As you can see, all polyps retracted

A little later, blue LED's only
    Some polyps starting out

Later still, white and blue LED's on
    Just about full polyp extension

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
It really is a much more attractive coral than people give it credit for.

Your's looks very much like a hand.

Thank you for sharing, nice piece.

I completely agree. I like. How long did it take you to get this kind of growth?

It grew from less than a centimeter small frag, to now over about 7 inched across in about 9 months.
Eating only whats in the water column, and I have crystal clear water too!

I really like this piece. With this new build, I am going to go with fairly hardy stuff such as your devil's hand. Great looking corals with a lot less stress. Once again, I really like this piece.

Thanks again. The DH seems to be very hardy as most softies are.
