Tiny Blue Anthilia that my LFS store gave me a couple weeks ago . The frag was pretty much dead as it had fallen in between some other rocks in the display tank and didnt get any light for quite some time . I guess I'll stop boring all the marine biologists around here with my newbie excitement and just go back to reading posts ...

 

How do you like your 24gal AquaEuro? I was thinking of getting one but I can't find any reviews or info on them???

 

It has worked out well so far , I love the fact that its glass ... I upgraded both pumps from 160gph to 230gph each and Im also running 3 other koralias and some other equipment to help keep things stable. Phos reactor and a chiller . The aqua euro comes with a 150w HOI which is decent quality but I swapped out the bulb for a better one .. The skimmer that comes with it is pretty useless, it does skim at times but is very frustrating to keep tuned. I put a Tunze 9002 in the second chamber and skimming hasnt been an issue since . Heres a couple pics from yesterday morning.The first couple are Actinics only just after they turned on, Everyone is just waking up ... A few more of other inhabitants in HQI and Actinics. Im really enjoying this tank ...

 

A couple more , the blastamussa in the pic above , above the clown head was a freebie hitchhiker , he was about the size of a dime when I noticed him ... hes 3 times that size now... Im still taking pics with my phone sorry , Ill have my 30d back soon ..

Tank is at 4 months and everything is very stable now , just added the Superman Monti and Aussie Acans .. Everything is growing well. Thank you to everyone here at 3reef who have made this learning process much less painfull than it would have been otherwise ...

Thanks t-hac , the lighting seems to work pretty well . Im getting good growth and the colors seem to pop really well with the mix of the 150w 14k HQI and the 2 65w actinics ... I do 7hrs HQI and 12hrs Actinic now and that seems to be the sweet spot for my tank ...
