Last night one of my crazy peppermint shrimp decided to clean the rotating propeller of my korali 3 off and is now missing all but 2 of his legs, both claws, and 3 of his antennae. Is this past the threshold for what's expected to regenerate for a peppermint shrimp?

Has anyone here seen any of your shrimp take a beating like this and come back from it? Or should I take him out now and give him the flush?

I have seen shrimp and hermits occasionally regenerate limbs in my own tank, I would just keep an eye on it and see how it goes. No need to give up on your shrimp just yet.

just an update: the injury was too much for the shrimp. It died, unfortunately. RIP "Ray Charles", you will be missed.
