I was wondering if I should cut off the burnt parts of the Coral or leave it as is? When I had the accident lot of the Corals were touching each other over night.

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
I would give it some time to acclimate before cutting it.

You just introduced it to the new tank, give it a day or two unless you start to see some Rapid Tissue Necrosis.

Thanks Corailline! It appears to be stable and not spreading, the polyps are closed tight though. My beautiful birdnest is toast, it turned totally white and he went in to the garbage. To bad. My Red Candy Cap has a pretty nice size burn also, but that's not spreading also and his polyps are out. so he must be OK. Everyone else seems to have fared OK.
