I got some of the wood on the stand, but have a bit more work to go. It's sorta a shame to cover up some nice glass:cool4: like this over flow, but it would get covered in algae anyway.

I used the pond foam, and am pretty happy with it. I ended up smearing the foam all over instead of fallowing their instructions, and I think it worked pretty well. I was able to get the coverage with out it being nearly as think as it would have been, but make it thicker in spots if I wanted that way.

Ya I've been thinking about it, but I've never done it so I'm not sure if I want to try with this tank. I'm also split on how I think a rimless looks with the light shining at you as well as in the tank compared to a hood where you don't get the glare. I'm tossing around the idea of putting something that would hang down an inch or two off the light so you would not be blinded as much, but still be able to enjoy a rimless. If only I had enough $ just to move on to leds instead of keeping the t5s, but a large part of the point of this tank is I have ether got the stuff really cheap or already had it lying around from other projects, so I don't think I'll be going led with this one any time soon.

so my brother  noticed my tank while working in the garage, and came and told:singer: me. I promptly:hothead::hothead::hothead: freaked out and ran to see for myself:Looking: :shout::stars::bigcry::help:. So who's fixed a crack? I'm hoping the pond foam will seal the part below the overflow, do you guys think I could foam up the top, and the silicone the out side and be ok?

so I got pretty bummed on the crack and really did not know what to do. I'm still not, completely sure this is the right thing but I'm going to try it because it's not that big of a tank and I should always have enough room in a second tank to move stuff if the tank cracks again. I put silicone on the out side and pond foam on the inside and am hoping it will hold for as long as I'm wanting to run the tank.

I got a little more done on the stand, as you can see. I'm going to have mangroves and a few other things displayed in the fuge and make a acrylic tank for an ATO that will fit in the very bottom. I will have a door on the very bottom so I can get to the ATO if I need to. I got pretty lucky with my apace and filtration seeing as I did not plan that part out very much at all and have no extra room to spare, but it fits nicely.
