    There should be an airline that goes into the 90 degree elbow on the overflow. Play with that until it quiets down. Give it a few minutes with each time you adjust it and listen to see if it changes. how new is the tank?

    That does work fantastic, but will not work with his overflow box.

    Durso silencer! Worked huge wonders for me. Decreased my tank volume by like 20 decibels.

    As the overflow breaks in I found I had to adjust the 1/4" tubing to get it to quiet down.

    OP, did you trim the bulkhead connectors in the box to just clear the nut?

    Also there is a baffle system within the box that should be in place. If it isnt it can be loud.

    No i did not trim bulk heads. Ill play around with the tubing i think i my only option.
