I only have one fish in my 28 gal now.(starry benny) and Just a bunch of soft corals If i were to put like 6 or 8 Different damsels in my tank would they be like piranha on meat. with my soft corals?

I just want some small colorful hardy fish that dont require special feeding methods. To swim through out my corals.

They will be fine in there with softies..But IMHO..I would not add 6-8, for one, they are aggressive and may fight..Two, trying to get them out is a pain in the A$$(reason i say is that im sure you would rather have other fish in there rather then 8 damsels IMO) three, 6-8 damsels is alota fish anyway, so if you really want one, then get just one, because people keep them mostly for cycling a tank or something and then they will sell them and start adding their main livestock.

Why dont you just get a pair of clowns? they are easy to take care of and are more interactive IMO and more fun to watch then damsels..

Or get a dottyback,firefish,gobys..etc..Most fish dont really have a special feeding thing or anything, mostly the scooter blennys and manderins and copperbands for example are your problematic feeders.

Your going to need a seriously bigger tank if you want 6-8 damsels. You could probably add 1 or 2. Damsels are generally jerks though, so wouldn't be my first choice regardless.

Ya that is way to many your right.. I have had them before and removed them both times because of my other fish. i was thinking a damsel only tank and not have to remove them.

But now that i think about clowns do sound better.

Yeah, they are fun to watch too! Get a yellow watchmen goby or something that burrows or somethings too..Unless that other fish burrows already..
