Well, I knew getting a Damsel at the beginning was a bad idea because of how agressive they can be toward other fish. But, my dad kept on saying, "Well we need a fish in there to get the cycle going," etc. So about a week ago I added in a Diamond Watchman Goby & a Red Firefish. Instantly he was attacking them with this stupid tail thing he does...yes my Damsel rubs his tail in the other fish's face. It's pretty retarded if you ask me. Eventually the Diamond Watchman Goby got over it and started doing his thing, cleaning the sand, etc. However, I am really concerned about the Firefish. I might get a quick look at him every 2 days. Once the Damsel sees him, the Damsel goes for him and the Firefish hides in the rockwork. I am thinking about bringing the Damsel back, if I can catch it...What do you guys think? If it's bad now, I wonder what it will be like when he's full size...heh...:-X:eek::(

I agree. He'll only get meaner because he thinks he rules the tank. Just try to make his transfer as stress free as possible.

According to my Lfs, just get a big fish like flame angel and it will prevent the damsel from harrasing others... That is also what I did and flame angel ruled the tank and chasing damsel from time to time so that damsel is not harrasing any of my other fishes... Flame angel never showed any aggression to any other fish...

I would get him out. It will only get more difficult once you get more corals, rock and fish in there. You'll stress out your other fish trying to catch that fool! Lesson for all use Blue Green Cromis they are only a couple dollars more and not as agressive..

That doesn't do anything but harrass another fish. I wouldn't want to harrass the Damsel either. The point is to stop the harrassing, not move it up a chain...:-/

Plus I don't want to take the risk of a Flame Angel nipping at my Corals...

lol i'll take him and put him in my puffers tank, then he'll know whose boss, and if he lives he will never boss around another fish again :D good luck, my lfs said for cycling to never use a damsel, a client of his tried to catch a damsel after a cycle and during the process he broke his tank due to crashing rocks from the damsel. So he sai he likes to use the chromis, like suggested above
