Damsel staying in a hole and not eating nor coming out

All I can tell you is that in smaller tanks Clowns may kill any shrimp or fish as they sexually mature and start to clean areas for spawning.

I have had Cleaner Shrimp in tanks for years with Clowns and witnessed the Clowns tearing apart the Shrimp once they decided the Shrimp was intruding on the Clowns territory. Mine were Fire Shrimp and Peppermint Shrimp. Again it all depends on the size of tank and available space.
