Went to the lfs yesterday, had some store credit and picked up my latest occupants. I bought 3 blue/green chromis and a cleaner shrimp. My shrimp has already molted, I thought he was dead when i saw the shell laying there on the bottom of the tank. I will take pics when I get a good shot.

Ok, I have just finished completely cleaning my tank and equipment. I have had an outbreak of cyno and now bryopsis and am currently at a full blown war against them. The cyno I have gotten under control, it is almost gone. I have changed light bulbs, more frequent water changes, lessened amount of food given and removed it wherever it was, including removing some sand. I have just finished cleaning my HOB filter inside and out. (i believe it was a source of nitrates, the inside was covered with all sorts of organic residue) I also cleaned my skimmer inside and out. Also cleaned all three powerheads and pump for skimmer. I nuked a two small rocks and took another one out, scraped off bryopsis and now it is upside down to deter further growth. Ended all of this with a nice water change. I am becoming very good at getting rid of nuisance algae.
On a sadder note, also had to kill two of my snail because they had the bryopsis growing on their shells, tried to do it as humanly as possible, froze them.

I recently redid my aquascape because of an algae problem I am trying to correct. I raised my clam up higher to get more light. Only real practical change. I like the way it looks better now. Here are some pics.

    Update:

It's now been about 4 months since I have started this tank. My levels have been stable, got my Mg, Ca and dKH up to where I want them. Gonna add to my cleaner crew, think it's about time, also gonna get some more coral frags, you can see the latest picture of my tank in my signature. So far so good, have dealt and continue to deal with some nuisance algae. I look at my tank everyday and love it more and more, can't imagine not having one now. Can't wait to see what it looks like in another four months

Just came back from the lfs. As an early birthday present to myself I decided to buy another coral, well I came back with two, couldn't help myself. I got a blastomussa frag and a pearl bubble. Pics below. Tank is now about 5 months old now. My clam is doing great, it's grown about a quarter in. over all. My zoa frag, that I fragged myself about 7 weeks ago now has 10 polyps, it started with two. Overall things going well, still attempting to get my bryopsis problem under control but hopefully gaining ground. Great thanks to all you guys and 3reef overall, couldn't have done it without you guys.

I just read this whole thread and I have to say you did a really good job with set-up and stocking. I was originally going to go with a 55 gal until I found a great deal on a 75. I really like your bubble and the clam. Hope to see some more updates on your progress!
